Out with the old.

I don’t know of a single person who would call late January their favorite time of year. It tends to be cold, blustery, damp, tiresome, and rather gloomy. Spring is distant. New Years’ Eve is a memory. And the plans you had for the “new you” of the new year aren’t exactly materializing.

But listen, just because your resolutions aren’t going well doesn’t mean you’ve missed the opportunity to change. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing for Valentine’s Day because Love has already found you. You don’t have to wait until spring break to make it a holiday. And there is no better time than now to do spring cleaning and get rid of the fears and uncertainties that tie you down.

Now is the time to find the answer … or let go of the question. Now is the time to be set free … or help someone else out of bondage. Now is the time to say goodbye to the past … and say hello to the new day. Now is the time to stop escaping reality … and live with the knowledge that you are never alone.

Out with the old. In with the new. You are loved, and today is the day to live like you believe it.

“…If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Romans 8:31b
