A word + Christmas songs

Hearten (v.): to impart strength, courage, or hope. To give heart to.

We use the word “disheartening” all too often and forget that “to dishearten” came from “to hearten.” We appreciate it dearly when others do it for us, but often forget to consciously impart something thing good to others.

So simple, but so easily neglected. Let us all try not to neglect heartening today.

And for some Christmas spirit, a few of my favorite songs this December…

“Peppermint Winter” by Owl City.
“Bells of New York City” by Josh Groban.
“Silent Night” by Jackie Evancho ft. Katherine Jenkins.
