Macarons are the most delicious dessert I have ever tasted. And they’re beautiful.

(I know women are notorious for photographing food unnecessarily, but these were worth it.) Macarons — not to be confused with American “macaroons” — are a cake-cookie hybrid sold most famously by Laduree in Paris. They’re just slightly crunchy on the outside, but cake-like inside with a thick filling. I tried a chocolate one and a pistachio one, and both were incredible! I’ve got to learn how to make these.

Excuse me while I go see if there are any left …

p.s. I’ll begin working on plans for a macaron bakery immediately. Investors?
