Two quick questions:
The picture with the kids in their school uniforms is so cute! Do you know if they usually salute like that? Was that to greet the teacher or you?
And in that overhead picture with the kids gathered kind of in a circle… is that a turkey I see?
1) Yes, they do! It was to greet me. The salute is a very common gesture, about equivalent to waving.
2) Yes! For a long time I didn’t even notice the turkey in the picture because he was just part of the scenery at the hostel. One of the pets. :)
